Irrigation System for Sustainable Farming Throughout the Year (IS-Fam Project)
The IS-Fam Project is an innovative agricultural initiative by Prime Initiatives, aimed at supporting smallholder rural farmers in eight communities within the Jaman South District of the Bono Region, Ghana.
The project has introduced a solar-powered irrigation system, making year-round vegetable cultivation both cost-effective and sustainable, especially during the dry season (November to April) when many farmers face off-season challenges due to erratic rainfall patterns.
